Affiliate Disclosure

In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s guidelines on endorsements and testimonials, here’s the plain-language version of how ManPlaybook makes money, and why it doesn’t change what I recommend.

The short version

Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, I may earn a small commission. You don’t pay anything extra, the price is exactly the same as if you’d typed the URL in yourself.

Where these links come from

ManPlaybook participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.

I also work with a small number of direct affiliate partnerships with clothing and lifestyle brands mentioned in guides, particularly ones relevant to big & tall or hard-to-find sizing, where a direct brand relationship gets you better product availability than a generic Amazon listing.

How this affects (and doesn’t affect) what I write

Here’s the thing worth being direct about: commission never decides what makes it into a guide. I research and test recommendations first, based on fit, construction, and value for a specific body type. Whether a product happens to pay a commission is a separate, later question.

If something’s overpriced or poorly made, I’ll say so, whether or not it’s an affiliate link. And if the best option for your body type genuinely isn’t available as an affiliate link, I’ll still recommend it and just won’t earn anything from that specific mention.

How you’ll know

Articles that include affiliate links carry a short disclosure notice near the top of the post. You don’t have to hunt for it or dig through a footer to find out.

Other ways this site may earn money

Beyond affiliate links, ManPlaybook may also earn revenue through display advertising served by third-party ad networks, and through our own digital products (like The Style Playbook). Neither of these change editorial recommendations either. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies and tracking work.
